Speaking publicly at the GeekWire Summit 2014, T-Mobile’s “Rockstar” CEO, John J. Legere poured water on the claims that Apple lacked attention-to-detail when it came to the integral build quality of the iPhone 6 Plus, citing that the few claims regarding the device’s physical ‘malleability’ when put under increased pressure were simply “horse****.”

In the profanity-filled segment that follows, the controversial CEO speaks candidly about the iPhone 6 Plus, and warns that ‘an amazing super-computer that you hold in your hand’ – shouldn’t be bent.

Legere’s comments on the whole sensationalised “bendgate” debate, follows trusted end-user product panelists – Consumer Reports – conducting a scientifically fair test on the new handset, to determine just how much pressure it would take to cause Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus to bend.

The test worked to show that the issue of a smartphone beginning to bend under extreme pressure was not exclusive to the iPhone 6 Plus, but rather was a “problem” that affects a wide range of handsets on the market – with each model requiring a different level of force before its core hardware could be ‘bent.’

According to Apple, only 9 people have complained of their handset being affected by “bendgate” since the new smartphone officially launched – on September 19.
